Ryan is a professional photographer and videographer based in Marquette Michigan specializing in landscape, lifestyle and brand marketing. He has called the south shore of Lake Superior home since 2011 and earned a BS in Environmental Studies from Northern Michigan University in 2015.
He has collaborated on local films such as the snow biking film “Cold Rolled”, the “Michigan Ice Film” and stories for PBS, Travel Marquette, and the YMCA. His award winning photography has showcased local businesses, artists, and events and scaled to international marketing campaigns.
As the Photo & Video Director of Marketing for Northern Michigan University he spent four years showcasing academic programs, student stories, athletics, and the unique community that makes NMU a great destination for those seeking adventure in higher education. His work ranges from contributing to marketing campaigns and magazines to producing, shooting, and editing commercial spots for the Super Bowl.
He is inspired by the environment he calls home and the unique qualities of the Northwoods and Lake Superior shoreline. When not photographing a bike race or the great Gitche Gumee you can find Ryan hiking with his girlfriend and their dogs, suiting up in Star Wars costumes or sipping a 51k at Blackrocks Brewery.
